How are the placements of B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from Karunya University?

Karunya University is one of the best colleges in Coimbatore. Best private colleges of Coimbatore and has its own syllabus and curriculum. It has many courses to offer out of which aerospace engineering has about 60 seats to offer to the students interested in aerospace engineering. It is well known for its good infrastructure faculties and facilities provided by them like Wi-Fi and sports complex.The lab FACILITIES in the karunya University is very good and it provides hands on experience to the students of Aerospace engineering which helps them in the placement. The placement of Aerospace engineering from Karunya University is just about average. Not many companies that comments for the placement of aerospace engineering students and most of the student remain unplaced in the placement. Core companies that comes for the placement take students of aerospace engineering on the package of about 11 lakh per annum. The aeronautical programme in Karunya University is said to be good in terms of curriculum and teaching. The faculty and the infrastructure are okay as such while the college is average. But when it comes to placements, we have a different story altogether. Generally, most of the students from aeronautical branch end up in IT jobs. This is because hardly any companies visit the campus for core placements. Almost 80-90% placements happen in the IT sector while only a handful of students get into the core companies. This year, only a few core companies visited the campus and almost everyone will end up in IT jobs with a package of around 3-4 LPA (approx). This branch has very meager jobs as such. Try to get into IITs or NITs or IIST for better chances at good jobs.

Cons: 95% batch placement of aerospace engineering batch 2017 in IT companies. Only 50% total branch placement (27 out of the total number of stduents). Also, the companies making rounds during the placement season for recruiting aerospace engineers are mostly mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Mahindra Aerospace.
