How big is the LPU campus?

It would be a good choice to opt for Lovely Professional University as in the present scenario this is the university which caters to the all-round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. Lovely Professional University is close to my heart. I have spend some of the very memorable days of my college life here and looking forward to so much more. I have studied in LPU, lived in hostel. So, I am eligible to answer this question in better way. LPU is not only the largest university of the country but also the university with the most diverse student population. Learning in LPU will make you a truly global citizen. The first time I visited the campus I had no idea how big the campus would be, I want prepared to witness such a huge walk down but later got used to it. I would say be prepared to witness muscle pain in initial few days if you are not used to physical exercise on regular bases. It provides all the facilities inside campus, let it be from restaurants, eateries, grooming facilities, ATMs, bowling alley, hospital, banks, and post-offices, Hospitals are available. LPU has its own 8 storey mall which has shops for literally everything including gadgets and a departmental store like WH SMITH LPU's infrastructure is one of the biggest & best in the World. LPU is growing it's size every year. They have taken a lots of lands around the campus and they are expanding every year. In my opinion it is more than 1000 acres by now. Because 7 years back they used to tell us it was 600acre campus, but I have seen the sheer size they grown into now. If you have visited 57 block then I sure you came to know about how big s campus is. Although Campus is really attractive, Definitely you will fall in love with the campus. I am sure you will never feel regret after taking admission in LPU.

It is really the big university I have ever seen in my life as of now. Lovely Professional University (LPU), situated in Phagwara, in Punjab, India was established in 2005 and started welcoming students in 2006. The vast campus is spread over 600+ acres and 1200+ acres of agricultural land, it houses over 30,000 students annually and 3500+ staff, making it the largest student campus in India. There are around 400 courses for students on offer, within a variety of faculty members, including mechanical engineering, economics, law, performing arts, robotics and automation engineering, fashion design, journalism, and zoology. Students can gain undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. All courses at LPU are taught in English so it is required that all students applying for admission should have strong reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of the English Language. LPU has strong partnerships with large companies in a wide variety of industries, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Hilton Hotel. Students are encouraged to secure internships and placements throughout their studies. In an attempt to nurture students' entrepreneurial talents, the university provides office space and equipment, technology support, and SEED capital. In addition, there's a dedicated business development hub, which hires mentors to assist students who are developing strong business ideas. There's a large cricket stadium and health centre for students to access. Sports on offer include cricket, boxing, football, taekwondo, and basketball. Students at LPU have competed at international events like the Commonwealth Championships in the United Kingdom and the National Judo Championships. There are also inter-university tournaments held on campus throughout the academic year. LPU has relationships with universities around the world to encourage international students to attend the university. LPU university campus spreads over 600 acres near Jalandhar. The green environment is super cool and soothing for learning. The facilities in campus include indoor stadium, play grounds, gym, yoga center, bowling alley, snooker lounge, convenience stores, banks, 200+ food kiosks. Also, LPU ranks amongst the Top 200 universities of the world as per the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021, which assess universities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2021 rankings, only three Indian universities have made to the list of Top 200 in the World. LPU has outshined various institutions like IITs, NITs, state and central universities across India and has ranked high on parameters of Affordable and Clean Energy, and Decent Work and Economic Growth.

In houses 30k+ students from 29 states and 50+countries across the globe. *The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make the teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The pollution-free and healthy environment at the LPU campus is another major highlight of the campus. *The LPU central library is one of the major attractions of LPU. The library has Lacs of books in various subjects, and it helps students to clarify their subject related doubts. The library also has several magazines, journals, newspapers, etc. So that students spend their recreation time updating themselves with the latest happenings. *LPU has labs for all the required courses that impart practical knowledge to students. Infrastructure of The University campus is like to Fall in Love. The university campus spreads over 600 acres (2.4 km2) in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The green environment is super conducive to learning. LPU hosts one of the largest set of laboratories. There is a Museum containing demonstration of Projects. There is Polyhouse Technology A climate controlled cultivation (Hi-tech farming) of horticultural crops for high yield and quality production.
