The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for their recruitment as teachers in the government schools of Uttar Pradesh. UPTET Paper 1 is given by candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1-5. All qualifying candidates are awarded a UPTET eligibility certificate, which is valid for seven years.
