Biotechnology engineering is a field of applied Biology and chemical engineering principles that involves the use of living things in engineering, technology, medicine, and other useful applications. This programme also has R & D activities for students to get benefits. Many students from LPU have successfully collaborated with foreign universities and research institutions.

Biotechnology in India has seen a copious amount of growth in the past decade. It has entered a new era witnessing significant growth in research field, new and the latest bio-engineering techniques, and also in the economic sector. With many government entrance exams now available in biotechnology, there also has been an exponential growth observed in the number of private colleges and universities offering biotechnology-related areas. There are numerous colleges that are now providing various programme courses in the field of biotechnology. And Lovely Professional University is one of them. Covering an area of 600+, this huge University has given a huge boost to the biotechnology sector in the last five years in the northern part of India. Many companies have visited the campus and have admitted the potential in LPU. Not only huge Biotechnological giants but also upcoming new corporate organizations have visited the University recently. Companies like Panacea biotech, Dalmia healthcare, Root analysis, Cactus (and the list goes on) visit the campus every year. Also, the scope is just not limited to work in the corporate sector in areas like marketing, Quality controls or as research associative (for companies like Root analysis and Cactus) but also the research areas. The curriculum has been designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the students to prepare themselves for giant exams like CSIR NET ICMR, ICAR, and GATE. With an experienced faculty of 30+ in the department who are ready to help the students round the clock, seven days a week, this institute is one of the best options for the young population to opt for biotechnology. The university offers both under-graduation and post- graduation programs in biotechnology. Courses like B.Sc. In biotechnology (both simple and honors) B.Sc-M.Sc integrated, Bachelor of technology in Biotechnology, M.Sc. In Biotechnology (both simple and honors) and Master of technology in Biotechnology. One of the most thoughtful questions by students is whether the University will be providing laboratory exposure or not. Dear aspirant, Here are some points of 4 year B.Tech Biotechnology in LPU: All the teachers who taught us have atleast a master's degree. Some experienced, some nascent. Some nascent ones are not able to explain themselves or their subjects properly to the students resulting in MS-communication between the two. Apart from that, all teachers are helpful by nature and try to solve a student issues, whether it is personal or professional. Classes are not crowded due to which teachers can work on the weak students. Facilities provided by university is good, except when AC's are turned off even if the temperature outside is hot. This is due to LPU's policy and university never allows anyone to violate the policy. Coming to practical part, I would rate it average. The reason being, some practicals increase your interest in the subject and some do vice versa. Some (modern) equipments are required in Labs to progress the level of research in LPU. Now the placement part: This year, I saw many companies coming with decent package while some companies with not so decent package. Some were of core, some of sales and non- core. LPU prepares well its students for placements which includes having pre-placement classes in the time table to teach students skills required in the corporate world. Hope it helps.

Hi. Lovely Professional University (LPU) Jalandhar placements are handled by the Division of Career Services. LPU placement department is responsible for the entire recruitment and training process. Lovely Professional University Jalandhar has collaborated with many companies to provide student support. Collaborations for LPU placements have been done with Google, Bosch, Intel, Microsoft, and many more. Internships, on-the-job training, live projects, center for professional enhancement, joint placement drives, etc. Are all activities organized by the Lovely Professional University Phagwara placement department? As per the Lovely Professional University placement 2021, over 1400 companies participated and provided jobs to students. In the year 2021, more than job 8500 offers were provided to students. At 2021 placements, the highest salary offered to engineer and management disciplines students was Rs. 42,00,000 and Rs. 21,00,000 respectively.
