Faculty:- Most of the professors have done their Ph.D. from IIsc Bangalore, IIIT Hyderabad & IIT Madras. One professor, who joined IIT Tirupati following his passion towards teaching was working in MNC with good salary. There are many other professor like him who are passionate about their profession. You will find some boring professors too. Facilities:- From this academic year permanent campus will be ready with some facilities like hostel, laboratory, mess; and rest of the things will be get ready in upcoming years. Academic building will be at temporary campus for few more years. For students who will stay at permanent campus, buses will be provided to come for classes and whenever needed. Girls hostel is near temporary academic building in Lakshmi Nagar. Rest all the facilities will be provided like other IITs. From this year, chemical branch is also going to be added, and number of seats in each branch will increase, with total intake of 180 students. Now coming to 1st part of question, I. e, how is CS branch of IIT Tirupati. In 2019 1st batch is going to passout. After that, people will be able to tell how good is CS on the basis of placement. But if you SEE 2nd generation iits like IIT Hyderabad, IIT Patna, IIT Indore and others they all are good in ranking among all IITs only because of CS branch. So don't worry if you are getting CS branch in any 3rd generation IIT it all depends upon your coding and problem solving skills. If you are good at coding and have good CGPA then you will definitely get placed in good companies. Some of the students who have completed their 2nd year are doing internship at IIT Madras. All 3rd year students have got selected for industrial internship. Coding environment is good. Last year some group of students qualified for regional ACM ICPC.
