How is hostel life at Lovely Professional University?

I would like to mention the perks of hostels at LPU. Firstly, it is safe and secure, there are CCTV cameras and everything is being monitored also guards keep watch 24*7. Secondly, one who opts for hostel it will be time saving as lot of time gets wasted in travel when someone stays outside. It becomes hectic. Thirdly, Food is available on time, there also is a separate place for study I. e Study Room in each hostel where one can indulge in studies without any hindrance. Apart from this every essential services are available within hostel premises like canteen, tuck shop, photostat shop, ATMs, sports ground etc.

LPU has the largest residential capacity in the world. In order to ensure proper safety and security of the children. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. LPU has a set of rules regarding hostel life and its facilities. LPU provides convenience to your doorstep but expects proper adhering to their discipline structure and code of conduct. 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict actioned used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of such rules. Hostel Rules: 1) Boys are allowed to go outside campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 2) Hostellers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. 3) Girls have to enter their specific hostels in specified time duration ie 7 pm. Special Permission will be extended to student for day/night out with the written permission of Warden & Parents. Student needs to post the request on the UMS for weekend outing and avail the due permission from parents & warden for the same. The accommodation at LPU is apartment style. Here are few highlights: 1. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit of the residential facility. 2. Clean & Green Environment 3. Separate residential Facility for the students with different seater. 4. Hi there! I have spent 2 years of my life in the hostel of LPU while my post-graduation. I really miss my hostel life as I have a lot of memories of hostel life. I can tell you about the hostel details of LPU. All facilitates are provided at the Campus Hostel and you'll have the complete choice to choose the accommodation that suits you and your budget. Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination: Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exist here. There is complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess: Honestly I won't lie about the mess at the campus because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like a mess. If you're one of them very good and if not then fab you're in my gang so, you don't have to worry at all about the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc. Food is not at all a problem at LPU. Outdoor Games/ Indoor Games/Gym: There are so many places at Campus for outdoor games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you'll have to pay to play. Everything is fun wherever you fit in yourself. The word Hostel may not sound too exciting, but life at the hostel is totally different and filled with loads of memories! Hostel life gives us a chance to explore ourselves and to be independent. To be away from home and to do crazy stuff is what makes hostel life even more special. My colleague's daughter studied at LPU and stayed in a hostel. So. On the basis of her experience I am sharing the following points. The LPU hostels provide the best security and safety for girls. The management is very strict regarding their movements out and inside the hostel. There are set timings for girls to move out and come in with permission. Rest it's like any other hostel where you can have lots of memories with your friends, gain experiences and cherish them in future. There are certain things that happen in every girls' hostels which are as below: Washroom blues Hostels are mostly living together with two or more people and sharing common amenities with your roomies is a must. Similarly, the washroom is one of those common facilities which you need to share with roommates or with people on the same floor. The days begin with long queues outside each washroom. Sometimes, there might be a water shortage also. Using the washroom in the hostel according to our convenience is actually a big deal! Usage of technology You might be a crazy fan of a serial or a talk show. You don't actually miss any of your favourite shows! If you are staying in a hostel, do you think you will miss out on all these activities? Not really! Technology will definitely save you. Your boring laptop suddenly turns out to be the most important thing like literally, your best friend! You can watch all your TV shows by connecting the internet to your laptop without missing any show and also with your friends. Gossips Here comes the most exciting part of the discussion! Every college has certain gossips and even every single group, in particular, maintains secrets and chit-chat among themselves. The late-night gossip conventions are the best part when we end up having more than ten interesting topics to discuss. From commenting about others and drooling over the new professor, a gang of girls together is enough to do it all! Hi there, I myself being a hostler here in Lovely Professional University, can say that hostel life in LPU is pretty amazing. As I have stayed in hostels earlier, I am very much impressed with the facilities that we get here in LPU. To me the infrastructure plays an important role, so the environment, the surroundings that I get in here are peaceful. There are 6 hostel blocks for girls. 1, 2,3 and 4 blocks are attached, and are like a mini society in itself. We have a wonderful garden along with two basketball courts. There are 23 open gym under the hostel. Along with that, there are parlors for personal grooming. Canteens to have variety of cuisines, and mess for all who have opted for mess at the starting of the semester. The hostel life here is secure and safe. Some may feel the hostel timings are too strict but that is actually to maintain discipline in the university, which not only helps now but will help in inculcating discipline in life in future. To the best of my own experience, I feel the life at LPU hostels is happening and mesmerizing. The first and most important thing is that hostels are least distant from the block where classes are conducted. The second thing, you get to utilize library till late night upto 12 AM and during exams upto 2 AM. One gets to participate in inter-hostel cultural activities which are all fun. Moreover the security thing is the best out of everything I have experienced. The rooms are good and wardens are very humble. The water facility is very nice and everything one needs in also available. The departmental store in inside the hostel and remains open till 12 AM. Hope this helps. Thanks.

I must say that Lovely Professional University is one of the best university. Being a Alumni of Lovely Professional University I can assure you that this university is the safest for the girls. A few reasons for this blind assurance are- The major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. Safe Hostels whether we talk of girls or boys. I believe it is safe as there are CCTV cameras everywhere in the University. Girls are not allowed to go outside without leave. If they want to go outside for any purpose like movie, shopping, etc. Then they need to apply for day outing. Permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. Outsiders are not allowed to enter in the university premises without having GATE pass A proper timing for the girls to report to their hostels is designed to keep them safe. If girls want to visit the library for studying late at night till 12am, In that case, a female guard take and drop those girls from their respective hostels to the library. Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exists here.
