How is hostel life at Lovely Professional University?

I have spent my most delightful 5 years in the hostels of LPU. LPU Grounds is a finished world in itself, having 30,000+ students, including around 2000 International students from 39 countries, and 4500+ faculty/staff. It is indeed a very lush green campus with all the facilities of the city - in one campus! Tentatively 20,000 students are residing inside the campus hostel and apartments only. The campus is absolutely free from any danger with zero resistance of ragging. The campus incorporates every one of the necessities which we expect at our home. Single beds, separate study tables, separate almirahs, attached washrooms with geyser inside, AC or Cooler as selected, Mess facility with south India, Northern, eastern, harayanvi, North Eastern, Gujrati meal plans, 24 hours CCTV Cameras inside and outside hostels, Power reinforcements, Wi-Fi facility in each block, University Hospital with 24/7 availability of ambulance, Study Rooms, lifts, Retail chain, parking facility, Gardens inside hostels. I still reminisce the calm evenings spent in hostel gardens and the everlasting memories made there. The hostel staff has been so cooperative. There was not even a single day of concern in terms of their security for me and my parents. And how can I forget the University mall with all the necessary stores for purchase of books and stationary, gifts, Electronics, Apparels, Dominos, Dine ins, Bakeries, and of-course a FUNZONE with fun games like Pool, Super bowl etc. They even have an Indoor stadium with facilities like: Olympic level swimming pool, Shooting area, 6-7 Squash courts, around 17 Badminton courts, Volleyball and COMBATIVE games.

Hello Being an alumni I had spent my 2 Years in LPU during my pursuance of MBA programme & I really enjoyed each & every moment of my campus life. I want to say something Packing bags, arranging books, finding old stuff back It wasn't easy as I thought My memories overweighed my luggage AS I had left my hostel room for the last time. LPU campus is regarded as one of the best campuses among private universities in India. Similarly, LPUs infrastructure is one of the biggest and best in the world. The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The pollution-free and healthy environment at LPU campus is other major highlights of the campus. In LPU, the key points of hostel facilities are1. CCTV based security in both boys and girls hostel. 2. A dedicated team of warden and workers who are available in the hostel for 24 hours in shifts to provide facilities to students. 3. Best north, south and other food facilities in the mess with quality and taste4. Near to hostels, there are playgrounds to play basketball, football, badminton, cricket. 5. Indoor stadium for swimming, gyming, and learning various exciting games6. Flexible timing to visit Unimall, library and work at innovation studio7. Due to students from across the country, students are getting interacted with them and capturing various positive vibes in terms of language and knowledge sharing. 8. In the weekends, DSW (Department of student welfare organizes various activities related to sports and entertainment for hostel students. 9. Hostels are fully air-cooled with the option of both cooler and AC. 10. The rooms have attached the washroom and each student has a separate B.Ed chair, study table, fan, almirah with locker facility. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/ Geyser/ Air cooler). Mess facility with vegetarian meals only. Parking two wheeler/car facility at designated places only. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis). Students in residential facility are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, Mobile Charger, Shaving Set, Trimmer, Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the occupants of that room.

The hostel days are always unforgettable part of one's life and when the campus is like LPU it becomes a lifetime memory. Being an alumnus let me share with you the hostel facilities. The residential faculty & staff provide after-hours guidance and support to the students, in case they need any academic or life advice. The sports facility is being introduced with a membership of 3 different packages of games:SwimmingShootingSquash, Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball and Combative sports. Students can join all these memberships on a yearly basis. The campus has a 24 hours 30 B.Ed hospital which is staffed with resident medical officers, medical lab, dieticians and physiotherapists. In house laundry services are available at a nominal charges to students. Keeping student's requirements in mind, University offers quality residence (offering above average necessities) for their living comforts. Become independent! Students residing in the campus can earn while studying by taking up part time jobs in labs, library, sales, shopping mall etc. Become independent! Over 1 Lacs meals are prepared each day!shopping mall etc. LPU offers a huge Library System with 11 branches. There are more than 20 Lacs books and e-books on all subject fields. LPU Library system subscribes number of journals, magazines and newspapers.

Hostel life is one of the most exciting thought for majority of college students. Choosing a University is also about choosing a new home. LPU ensure that students dwell in a healthy environment that helps them to grow and learn without any obstacle. LPU offers residential facilities to the students, staff and faculty who are from far flung areas where commuting is not possible. Residential Facilities available in Lovely Professional University are one of the largest residential services and best in Asia. There is a Separate residential facility for boys and girls within the campus. Facilities provided in the LPU hostels: 1. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit of the residential facility. 2. Clean & Green Environment 3. Separate residential Facility for the students with different seater. 4. Rooms are with B.Ed study table, chair, almirahs, desert cooler and geyser. 5 AC rooms are also available in the above category. 6. Differential and hygienic food facility and Mess and canteen facility in every hostel is there. 7. Laundry facility 8. Gym facility to remain fit 9. Over and above the medical facility being provided inside the beautiful campus. 10. 24*7 electricity supply and Wi-Fi. 11. There are general facilities such as dedicated hotline and power backup for 24 hrs power supply at university campus. 12.60+ATMs of 5 nationalized banks and Post Office facilities for money transfer, speed post, etc. 13. Study room, TV room, Saloon, Photocopy Machines, Departmental store for daily needs, Cafeteria, vending Machine (soft drinks), Lifts and Parking facility. 14. University-Mall, an eight- storied complex, houses departmental stores, various shops, banks, food-courts. These help students to meet their daily needs on the campus itself. 15. The major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. Safe Hostels whether we talk of girls or boys. Being a Alumni of Lovely Professional University I can assure you that this university is the safest for the girls. A few reasons for this blind assurance are- I believe it is safe as there are CCTV cameras everywhere in the University. Girls are not allowed to go outside without leave. If they want to go outside for any purpose like movie, shopping, etc. Then they need to apply for day outing. Permissions from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. Outsiders are not allowed to enter in the university premises without having GATE pass A proper timing for the girls to report to their hostels is designed to keep them safe. If girls want to visit the library for studying late at night till 12am, In that case, a female guard take and drop those girls from their respective hostels to the library. Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exists here. There is a complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination. Food/ Mess : Honestly I won't lie about the mess at campus, because I myself took food for the first 6 months at the hostel mess until I explored other good places but there are so many people who actually like mess. If your one of them very good and if not then fab your in my gang so, you don't have to worry at all for the food at LPU because there are like 358+ shops inside the campus providing all varieties of food from continental to south Indian and that too at very mediocre rates. Some days if you don't feel like going out you can even order at Dominoes, go to CCD, Mall, etc. Food is not at all a problem at LPU. There are so many places at Campus for out door games and as well as indoor games. Some are campus properties and some are vendor properties (game parlors) where you'll have to pay to play.

Being a alumni of Lovely Professional University, I would like to answer this question. I have lived in hostel and I hope this will help you get a clear picture of the kind of life a hosteler leads at the Lovely Professional University. Lovely Professional University is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, IBSs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Not only this, but the university has also set up high tech labs for the benefit of students. The first thing that almost parents are concerned about is the safety. And LPU is one campus that takes security of all their students very seriously. There are automated biometric machines that keep a record of each entry and exit in the hostel. Next comes food, the mess here is super hygienic and provides us with quality food four times a day. We also have an in-house hospital in the campus that is staffed with resident medical officers. There is also medical lab, dieticians, and physiotherapists who take proper care of our health. Zero Ragging/ Zero Discrimination : Nobody is ragged at LPU, This word actually doesn't exists here. There is a complete secularism in the LPU hostel life as you will find seniors and juniors treated similarly at the Campus and even at the Hostel. So, there is no division among the students as per their academic year like other campus hostels. Students from the various ends of the country/ neighboring countries come and join LPU and lives in the same Hostel without any discrimination.
