The Bsc Agriculture course provided by the LPU is approved by ICAR i.e Indian Council of Agriculture and Research an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India. I think LPU is a much better university to go for agriculture. It has earned the ICAR accreditation and is the only one private university to get it. So, its a major point to be considered .LPU lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. The future of agriculture lies with a faith born of deeds. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE Program to build interpersonal skills. It is good pursuing a BSc in Agriculture from LPU for better career prospects in the field of agriculture. BSc. Agriculture degree offers a number of avenues for growth. The graduates desirous of specialising may opt for a masters program. The Undergraduate Degree in BSc. Agriculture consists of few core subjects such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Genetics, Plant Pathology, Land Surveying, Entomology Horticulture, Physiology, Food Science, water resource management, and Animal Products management. A number of subjects such as Economics, Meteorology, Technology, Business, and Production Management are studied in close reference to the subject. LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio Seed, Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so.On an average the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5.5 TO 6 LPA(Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that.Like I said, LPU will provide you the platform and the opportunity, but it is really you who have to go and perform on the platform being provided.
