How is LPU in terms of research and innovation?

Hi there, I am a part of LPU as a student and I know that LPU invests highly in research and innovation because it believes that these sectors are indispensable parts of or society's development. Lovely Professional University is committed to providing an outstanding environment for excellence in Research and Development in all disciplines. The gamut of LPU research activities makes it a unique academic environment that stimulates creativity and critical thinking and providing impetus to recruiting, supporting, and developing highly skilled motivated researchers. There are state-of-the-art labs also available on campus. The Central Instrumentation Facility of LPU houses a wide range of high-end instruments for pushing the boundaries of research in Science and technology to a higher level. These instruments and facilities help the faculty members, research scholars, and students to carry out globally competitive research in basic, applied, and medical sciences. LPU also has a great environment for innovations which lets students work freely on projects and get recognised. There are a lot of examples circuitous on the LPU website.

CENTRAL INSTRUMENTATION FACILITY (CIF) The Central Instrumentation Facility of LPU houses a wide range of high-end instruments for pushing the boundaries of research in Science and technology to a higher level. These instruments and facilities help the faculty members, research scholars, and students to carry out globally competitive research in basic, applied, and medical sciences. The Center also hopes for expansion of the facilities each year making it a core facility in the country. By realizing CIF we expect a prominent hub for pioneering and collaborative analytical research in our country. CIF runs under the purview of Division of Research and Development of the university and is expected to self-sustain by revenue generation for the upkeep and maintenance of the instruments. FACILITIES CIF of Lovely Professional University is equipped with sophisticated instruments to carry out spectral measurements, structure determination, and chemical analysis. LPU is the place where innovation happens new idea takes place and this is the place where one can do the thing he wants. I take admission I want to go for A. I and this was my department elective. They give you what is in trend and what you want. Research, Innovation and Extension activities are central to the mission of the university. To augment the learning resources and promote interdisciplinary research, the university has a dedicated Division of Research & Development, which supports and coordinates research activities in the university. The progressive research policy, the appointment of research-intensive faculty, research grants, research leaves and research awards have contributed to significant improvement in the research profile of LPU. Some of the highlights of the research and innovation division of LPU are:- -Extensive research facilities like Central Instrumentation Facility, Space Centre, Agriculture Research Farms, Animal House, Herbal Garden, Green House, Innovation Studio, Textile Testing Lab, Media Laboratory & Studio, Formulation Research Lab, XLPLAT - Patent Docketing Solution, XLPAT Patent Search Tools, Multiple Databases (Proquest, Capitaline) etc. -Hosting of 106th Indian Science Congress, 15+ conferences in the last 2 years, visit of eminent scholars gave an impetus to research endeavours of students and faculty. Supportive research policy has fostered an environment conducive to purposeful research resulting in the publication of 9132 research papers, 22703 book chapters and 395 patents. -Extensive grants for research sanctioned by the national and international government and non-government bodies amounting to Rs. 72.07 crores in the last 5 years, along with Rs. 3.84 crores of financial grants provided by the university in the form of SEED money. -Research awards/incentives amounting to over Rs. 1.80 crores have been disbursed among the faculty members for their research accomplishments. -Ranked high on parameters of Research and Innovation, received 98 awards in recognition of its research and innovation initiatives. -Consultancy projects and corporate training generated revenue of over Rs. 16.89 crores and 3.65 crores respectively. -Pragmatic Ecosystem for entrepreneurship, incubated 126 start-ups, conducted 100+ events focusing on entrepreneurship.
