How is the LPU Ph.D. interview?

After qualifying LPU NEST, the applicant is evaluated through an interview for research aptitude; innovativeness and feasibility of the topic of research, concept clarity in discipline and attitude. The applicant must be clear on the intended area of research, theoretical concepts related to core discipline and basic concepts of research methodology. Exposure to some research journals and research publications of the concerned disciplines is required. It will be better if you review some literature of research publications in the intended area of research. During interview you are required to bring a research proposal that covers following points: Broad area of research / title of proposed work Origin of the problem/ literature survey Suggested methodology Expected outcomes and applications of the proposed research work. To take admission here in LPU an applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview.
