Both GD and PI are the stages of elimination in any process. Meaning, you are competing against all others who have equal claim on that seat. So you need to set yourself apart and make the selection panel realize that you are different from others.

Firstly, make sure that you are prepared well for the PIS - starting from your personal details to current trends. Read one newspaper every day to be aware of the current affairs. One can simply start with reading newspaper 'The Hindu' (recommended). This will help you with the verbal section as well as for GD/PI.
