I have completed my 12th from science but I am interested in literature and want to become a writer. How should I proceed?

I have heard about this course BA English (Honors) & was wondering if you can provide detailed information about the course? What would I be looking at if I want to do it? And if you could also kindly suggest the best colleges for it, it will be great.
