If you love your field and you are willing to learn and update yourself day to day, then you must do CA else go for MBA. Career is bright only if you do MBA from elite B-schools such as:
IIMs
Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai (accepts CET)
Xavier's Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (accepts XAT)
Lovely Professional University, Punjab (accepts/CAT/MAT/XAT/LPUNEST)
Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Trichy
Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi (own test)
Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai (accepts N...more -
It depends on you. You can either go for CA where core finance will be needed. Or else if you want to master management of finance you can pursue MBA in Finance. Analyst positions are offered for MBA graduates.

Let people say that once you complete your CA the life will be good. It is not like that even after CA, you have to struggle a lot.
Only 10% students will pass CA even after they will start with a salary of 20-25k generally. And sometimes, they may get 40-45k.
On the other side, leave MBA from IIM and other top colleges average, even a decent/serious student graduating from a Tier 2 college can get a similar package to CA like 20-30k or even 40-45k.
And in CA, it is not even sure that you will pass even if you are serious or hardworking. -
CA is a professional degree which has a bright future always while MBA too provides a very good career prospective but only if done from a good university. Both the courses are equally good, it depends on your sole interests. Good luck.

Hi Nilay,
First of all, I would say CA is professional degree where you have to qualified many exam and many steps but in MBA you have to crack exam, GD and then PI and then you have to study for 2 years and you can get government job also after doing MBA. -
If you have interest in financing & allied sectors, then I would say you should definitely pursue CA and then go for MBA. This combination will provide you added advantage and edge over other students as you would have more refined knowledge about the finance and related matters. But if you do not have interest in finance, then it is up to you whether you want to do CA or not. I think, then you should go for MBA and do specialization in the field of your choice. Even if you want you can pursue MBA and CA simultaneously, if you think you can manage to study both at the same time & you ready to put extra effort.
