I've completed my GNM & am looking for Post basic B.Sc nursing or degree conversion program from Canada, what opportunities do I have?

  • You need IELTS academic 7 band in all components to register yourselves in the nursing council. Hence, if you have this IELTS score then you can apply for 1 year top up programme for Nursing. In other words, this will be final year of B.Sc. Nursing which will lead you to do registration in the nursing council to work as Staff nurse.

    B.Sc. (Post Basic) is a type of B.Sc. (Honors), in which the candidate has done some prior academic work which is lower than that of a Bachelors degree. For example if you have done GNM (Nursing), than you can directly opt for a Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing), in lieu of spending 4 years of doing B.Sc. (Nursing) again. The minimum IELTS score requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
