I've completed my integrated M.Sc in biotechnology and that was a self-financed course. Am I eligible for CSIR NET exam?

Hello Shubhra,
Yes, you are eligible for CSIR NET exam. As you have done M.Sc in biotechnology, you can appear for CSIR NET Chemical Sciences or Life Sciences. If you want to go for JRF exam, then make sure that your age is not more than 28 years and you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks. Or if you want to apply for the position of an assistant professor, you can apply anytime as there is no upper age limit. But you have to fulfil the educational requirement. -
Hi Shubhra,
Yes, you can apply for the CSIR NET exam. Let me tell you that CSIR NET exam is conducted for the Science stream candidates in Life Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Earth Science and Mathematical Science.
The eligibility for CSIR NET is a post graduation degree. There is no age limit for the lectureship while candidates must be below 28 years for the CSIR NET JRF.
All the best!
