Join any of the law colleges and better start preparing for the exam from initial years. Better join NLU by giving CLAT. Better join BALLB, it is easy to proceed with it and you can better proceed with the studies for becoming a judge.

You can get admission in leading law universities in different states by cracking CLAT and AILET.
With this, you need to prepare for judiciary exam.
You can become a magistrate or a judge by clearing the judiciary exam.

You could go for any of the combinations as in the judicial services exam, major focus is on your law subjects i.e. in Mains. It is only standard law subjects and some of the local laws of that particular state where you are appearing.
Also, in the prelims, you need to be well versed with the general studies which can be done even if you have a commerce background.
So you need not worry about this.
You need to be focused more on law subjects and general studies.

For becoming a judge, you should be graduate with anyone of BA LLB, BBA LLB AND B.Com LLB, then you can give exam of PCS-J, which is of state level.
Important point: You need not to pursue LLM for becoming judge.
Age required is 22 years minimum.

First, complete your BA LLB or LLB and get enrolled as an advocate with a state bar council. After that, to become a judge, prepare for judiciary exams.

Take any judicial services exam and crack the same, there you are as a judge. Before that you must finish your LLB and LLM. I would suggest you to go for BA LLB since the BA subjects will add on to your general knowledge and English which forms an important part of the judicial services exams.

See, to become a judge, it is necessary to have a law degree. It doesn't matter at all that you have done 5-year or three-year LLB course. To get an admission in law college you can give exams like CLAT, AILET, ISAT, ULSAT, etc., or you can pursue graduation and then do LLB. The competition for becoming a judge will start after completing law.

PCS-J is the exam you will need to give. For which, the LLB is the criteria. You can do integrated courses like BA/B.Sc /BBA/B.Com etc. with LLB. There are many pairs available to pursue according to hour interests.
