Being a faculty member of Lovely Professional University I want to share some facts about LPU's initiative towards placement of students in Defence / Government jobs.
    1) NCC is available in the university. Both Army and Airforce wing is available in the university. Interested students have to go through a selection process. Details are mentioned in the attached policy.
    2) Indian Army hires students from LPU through UES (University Entry Scheme). Every year 300-400 students participate in that drive. This hiring involves following steps:
    a) LPU Students apply on Indian Army portal. B) Army makes some college/university as center for GD/I

Go for AFCAT or for NDA for AFCAT. It's straight conductance, just maintain your physical parameters and get ready for AFCAT. Good luck.

After class 12th, fill the form of NDA that is National Defense Academy. It has 2 exams. You have to qualify it. After that, you have to qualify interview and medical. But be sure that your PCM should be strong along with social Science (geography, political Science, etc.) and General knowledge too.

It would be better if you opt for engineering courses that too in mechanical or civil departments. Because engineering graduates don't need to write any exams and directly appear for SSB interview. For every interview, 60 engineering and non engineering graduates are being selected. Also, you will have a professional backup.

No need to join any course. You will have to give direct entrance exam for army.
    Please Visit Indian Army's website.
At website, check 10+2 entrance. You will get proper detail.

Does not matter. You need to be a graduate in any field for getting into officer position in Indian Army. Entrance only matters the most.

You can join NCC National cadet corps. After getting the certificate you can directly apply for Indian army without any entrance.

Hi...

I need to clarify first: are you asking about admission to Chandigarh University for B.Tech/B.E, or admission to a medical/paramedical course (like B.Sc Nursing, MBBS, BPT, etc.)

The marks required and exam rules differ a lot depending on the stream.

Chandigarh University follows a holistic admission approach, giving importance to both Class 12 performance and JEE Main scores, depending on the route chosen. For JEE-qualified students, the JEE score primarily determines merit-based scholarships and priority counseling, while Class 12 marks ensure eligibility verification. For students not appearing in JEE, Class 12 performance, particularly in PCM subjects, becomes the primary eligibility criterion, alongside CUCET scores for CSE programs. This dual-focus system allows students with strong 12th marks but no JEE score to secure admission, while rewarding JEE participants with merit a

Yes, for B.E. admission at Chandigarh University, students must meet the basic eligibility criteria of Class 12, irrespective of their JEE score. Generally, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one additional relevant subject. The minimum percentage requirement is as per regulatory norms and may vary slightly by program, but JEE scores alone do not override academic eligibility. Even for students applying with JEE Main 2026 ranks for scholarship consideration, meeting the 12th standard eligibility is mandatory. CU maintains this balance to ensure academic readiness while kee
