    You can pursue any course and then you have to appear for the CDS exam and then if you clear that you will have to appear for the medical test and then you can get into the Indian Army.

    For being an officer, it does not really matters from which field you are from. What matters is how much productive you have been in your life, that will help you in your SSB interview.

    It would be better if you opt for engineering courses that too in mechanical or civil departments. Because engineering graduates don't need to write any exams and directly appear for SSB interview. For every interview, 60 engineering and non engineering graduates are being selected. Also, you will have a professional backup.

    You should join B.Tech college and after that, apply for the SSB. You will have an advantage in that.

    You must qualify one of the following exams:
    After 12th - NDA followed by SSB
    Or
    After graduation - CDS followed by SSB
    or
    After engineering - Direct SSB
    or
    If you are NCC 'C' Certificate holder then you can directly appear for SSB interview.
