Hello, LPU NEST is not compulsory for admission for most of the courses. You can apply for admission after your Class 12th. If the eligibility criteria for the particular programme is determined by LPU NEST qualification, then qualifying the exam is mandatory. Moreover there are various programmes in LPU where you can take direct admission e. g BBA BCA B.Com etc. Whereas for other programs qualifying LPU NEST is prime requisite.

It will depend upon the course you choose. If you choose courses like BBA BCA B.Com then you can take direct admission. There isn't any need to appear in entrance exam but LPU NEST is also a scholarship test if you need scholarship then you can appear in LPU NEST on the other hand if you are interested in courses like, B.Tech, MBA, B.Arch then in these cases you need to appear in LPU NEST and then only you will be eligible for this university.
