I want to pursue M.Tech & am getting admission in DTU for production and in CAD CAM in Thapar. Which one should I choose to get a good job?

My basic interest lies in designing as I am confused about which college should I choose for a better future.

    Hey there,
    Thanks for a2a.
I will keep the good points of both courses for better comparison.
M.Tech in production at DTU teaches you which material to buy (depending upon the properties), at what rate to buy, how much to buy, how to convert it into finished product, how to arrange your shop floor, how much time it will take to manufacture it and how to sell it.
Now CAD CAM in Thapar will provide you full fledged ideas about materials, manufacturing, FE Analysis and CNC. It provides a detailed idea about cad cam along with a design project and paper presentation on journal.
I hope this will help you.

M.Tech courses in Thapar are not yet very elaborate and successful in terms of placements and job opportunities, whereas DTU being a more competitive university in terms of admission criteria would definitely offer you better opportunities. Considering the fact that DTU is a Government of India controlled university, the recognition throughout India and abroad is significantly better.
But when it comes to choosing, your decision should not compromise your subject of interest if you are so sure about it. All the best.

When you're getting admission in Thapar for such a great course, why go anywhere else? M.E. CAD/CAM Engineering in Thapar is pretty great, and comes with good faculty, good crowd, good curriculum and so on. This is what you really need to make it far ahead in life, especially in this stream. Don't overthink, with Thapar's placements and packages, you should only be choosing Thapar.
    All the best!

Go for Thapar as the job profile in CAD/CAM is better than that in production. Rest depend on your interest if you want to go in design field or production management field.
