iam pursuing my mba from IBS hyderabad. iam in a big dilemma whether to major in finance or HR.please help.:(

iam good @behavioral analysis,empathy,dealing with people of various psyches,emotionally stable.iam also good at analytical and numerical reasoning. i heard Hr is a thankless job so am cnfusd...:((

    Dear Keerti,
    I perfectly understand the dilemma you must be going through for choosing the specialization in your MBA program. This quite an important step in the academic life and should be taken after much thought to it.
    kindly consider some of the following points to choose a correct specialization -
    1. Do you have passion towards dealing with numbers and to solve practical sums and problems?,then you can surely go into finance.
    2. Do you have a passion towards understanding human behavior?dealing with people, and basically ding everything related to people then HR is the specialization you should go for.

    Hi Keerti, pursuing management course is the most preferred career option by today's generation. There are several specialties available in the MBA degree programs. Choosing MBA Specialization can be as difficult and confusing as the decision to choose a career for yourself or deciding from where you want to pursue your MBA degree. You can obtain a management degree to become a business executive, or work at a supervisory level. Your choice in turn will also aid the decision of how long you may want to study for your MBA.
