im a student of m.sc microbiology and wanted to go for ugc net but subject was not there so i chose education.are these same or different?

I'm doing M.Sc. Microbiology and wanted to go for UGC NET for Ph.D. but there wasn't any such option for life sciences subject so instead of this I chose (education) but I'm not sure if ill be getting the questions from my subject or not.
