    Yes, Lovely Professional University is first private University to be granted The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) accreditation by Ministry of Agriculture. B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR.

    Hi, LPU offers different courses in agriculture and all are ICAR approved. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. For B.Sc. Agriculture, LPU provides placement as well as internships to the students in companies like Syngenta India Ltd, Bioseed, Mahindra Agrisolution Ltd, Sanra Organics, NCDEX, SMURAGRO, Rallies India, Kandhari Beverages, Farelab, BD Agro, Kilban Foods Pvt.     Yes, LPU has recently been approved under ICAR by the government for Agriculture course. Last year i.e 2018, LPU had meetings and sessions regarding this decision and finally, LPU has been approved successfully.

LPU's Physical Efficiency Test (LPUPET/PET) is in fact not an hour-long session with a fixed time allotment; rather, it is a combination of physical tasks conducted in succession sprinting for 50m, broad jump, overhead medicine ball throw (3 kg for men and 2 kg for women), and finally 1000m of run/walk. The time taken in doing the complete tasks varies with the fitness of the candidate, commonly taking from 20 to 45 minutes for a session. The candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts.
