Is LPU a ragging and drug fre campus?

Being an Verto of LPU, I would say LPU is the best place to study as i have spend 5 years here and now i am an alumni of LPU. Whenever we talk about LPU I feel Proud because it is a great place to grow and they also provide a good platform also to Lovely Professional University (LPU) is India's the largest private university Spread over 600+ acres of land. and 1200+ acres of land for agriculture. In my experience of 5 years I have never seen any case of ragging here at LPU. It is quite safe place to study. They are equipped with the 6500+ cameras. Even in lifts too. The punishment is in accordance with the UGC (University Grants Commission) Regulations made to curb this menace; apart from any penal laws that are in force at that time and is applies to the situation. To ensure that no fresher faces ragging in any form, the University authorities have issued the following guidelines/suggestions: In addition to that LPU has a zero tolerance policy towards ragging. Freshers or any other student, whether being victim or witnesses to any incident of ragging are advised to promptly report the occurrence of the incidence at the Anti-Ragging Helpline. Apart from the number, students are free to contact the University officials as well. LPU will ensure the identity of student who reports incident (s) of ragging shall be protected and shall not be subject to any adverse consequences for reporting the incidents. This shows how serious LPU authorities are when it comes to tackling the menace of ragging.

Being an alumnus of LPU, I would say LPU is the largest university in India. After completion of my Diploma, I have recommended LPU to my sister too. I have completed my 2 degrees successfully here. And in term of student's security and safety LPU is amazing they have a lot of security guards. And 6500+ CCTV cameras and their strict rules and regulations. That's why I had recommended LPU to my sister. Here you will find students from every state of India and not just India, students of several other countries also study here. So, when it comes to ragging, LPU, like most universities in India, has zero-tolerance. The administration is doesn't not entertain any type of ragging and if any student is found to have ragged a fellow student, strict action is taken against the student. Yes, LPU is a ragging-free and drug-free campus. LPU has ZERO tolerance towards drugs and alcohol. There are 400+ security officials here and about 7400+ CCTV cameras ensuring 24/7 security inside the campus. It is all thanks to all these professional security staff that ragging, drugs, or anything antisocial is just out of question. The security here makes sure of the fact that no such activities ever take place. The students who ever try to involve themselves in such activities are suspended immediately or in the worst case, they are even kicked out of the university. Sometimes the fact that LPU is in Punjab scares some people. But trust me, this should not at all be the reason for you to worry.

There is NO RAGGING at all in LPU. And this University is very strict when it comes to ragging, violence, or any antisocial activities. Also if anyone is caught indulging himself/herself in any of such activities, they are punished right away. In the worst-case scenario, they may even be kicked out of the university. Talking about the security at the campus, it has 7400+ CCTV cameras and the safety of each and every individual in the university is maintained by over 400 full-time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The security team at LPU includes experienced ex-military men and women. Also, based on the facts that I know, the seniors here are very caring and helpful. They always guide and help their juniors in all the possible ways they can. There is also an Anti-Ragging Committee of the university that is nominated and headed by the Vice-Chancellor and consists of representatives of civil and police administration, local media, non-governmental organizations, faculty members, parents of students, fresher students and senior students, non-teaching staff, and the Registrar of the University acts as Member Secretary of the Anti Ragging Committee. This Committee ensures compliance with the provisions of the UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging and also monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in the prevention of ragging in the university. Hence, there is nothing to be worried about when it comes to ragging at LPU, because there are None. Nevertheless, if you ever come across a similar situation, you can complain to any staff or faculty around you and after that University handles the rest.

Lovely Professional University is completely safe and secure, 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances. Following are the security measures undertaken by the university for the safety of the students: 1) There are 7400+ CCTV surveillance on a 24X7 basis from every corner. 2) 400+ Security Officials are there. LPU security team includes experienced ex-military men and women. 3) Drug Free Campus (Zero tolerance towards drugs & alcohol. A dedicated & expert department of security officials and personnel are on duty 24 x 7 to ensure that no drug ever enters the campus). 4) A+ Fire Station is there 5) A+ Hi Tech. Security Gadgets are installed. 6) TURNSTILE GATES & BOOM BARRIERS: LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. In such an atmosphere you can well imagine how the boys or girls could be.

I have studied in this university and I never had seen any such acts neither faced such situations personally. Lovely Professional University is ragging free educational organisation. Campus is very strict about for ragging and violence. There is an Anti-Ragging Committee designed as well for looking on these topics. In the past 13 years no case has been reported for the same because LPU is very strict towards their rules and regulations. Its atmosphere is very friendly with lots of security persons in its 600 acres of campus. You will SEE one security person after every 100 meters and they show quick response. Also CCTV cameras are well installed around every corner of university to figure out any issue- in hostels, classrooms, gates, lawns etc. Ragging is totally prohibited in LPU, and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively or being a part of conspiracy of ragging is liable to be punished. University has an separate ANTI-RAGGING committee to monitor such activities inside campus. You would love the Environment here.

Hi, LPU is safe in all aspects and is a drug-free campus. It is absolutely the safest with Hi-tech security available 24*7. It has an amazing infrastructure where there are more than 4500 CCTV running on campus. A security guard is there at every 100 m. LPU does not tolerate any kind of misbehave, ragging, discrimination, and has a strict policy to deal with these things. You will be astounded to know that there is a full-fledged fire station on the campus with trained firemen on board to help out in a fire emergency. LPU has turnstile gates at the main entrance as well as in hostels also and boom barriers for vehicles. These measures ensure that every type of movement is monitored on the campus. Thanks.

LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored.
