V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. FYI, If any college is already approved by UGC, then approval from AICTE is not necessary. AICTE is simply a part of UGC. LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It is a UGC-approved university that has been ranked well...more

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which is the primary regulatory body for higher education institutions in India. While the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provides approvals for standalone technical institutions, universities approved by the UGC, like LPU, do not require separate AICTE approval for offering technical programs. This is in accordance with UGC guidelines, which allow UGC-recognized universities to conduct technical courses without direct AICTE approval, provided they adhere to the standards set by AICTE.
