CSE is highly sought after and has maximum opportunities among all the streams.
But change is the only constant in computer engineering ! LPU has adjusted dynamically to the continuous updations and changes in the industry.
As an Educator I would compare the universities on following:
Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a program which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi.

Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the tech program must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel etc are must for any professional to succeed in career.
Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech program.
Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc are given high importance in the organisations. The program must include the training or modules on all these.
Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere.
Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator.
Placements : The program is only means to the end ! And desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not.
If your college ticks all these right boxes, go for it!
More than 700 companies visit LPU for placements and offer upto 42 LPA.
So LPU has a clear edge over others.

Sachin, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students.
CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahendra, Cognizant, Amazon, Adobe, etc come for recruitment purpose. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies.

LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. Infrastructure: University has well-equipped labs with all the latest technologies for learning and development. Double Storey Central Library, equipped with computer labs and all the required books and curriculum, open for students till mid night 12. Not just this all the facilities in university is worth appreciating. The quality of the facilities provided in our hostel was top notch. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen were great. Medical facilities provided were splendid. Infrastructure is good. All resources are available. College provide Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library. Faculty: Teachers were qualified. They have a good knowledge of the courses they teach. They are very helpful and supportive. Quality of teaching provided is top quality. The teachers are really very supportive. Course curriculum is structured perfectly. It makes the students industry ready. Placements: In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple package as well. The highest package was around 42 Lacs per annum. All the students were trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Most students who do not have backlogs or reappears gets placed. Students who were not so good in academics, they were enrolled in more PEP classes to help them in placement. I hope this helps. Good Luck.

Hi,
Yes, Lovely Professional University is better for B.Tech computer science engineering. The placements for CSE at LPU are also good and I heard that the highest salary package was 15 LPA. Many companies (including MNCs) come for recruitment so LPU will be a better choice for CSE if you don't get a better one.

LPU is a brand name in education field which has worked hard and made a mark in the field of quality education as well as good placements.
Good companies Amazon, Adobe, Tech Mahindra, etc. have visited the campus for recruitment purpose so, surely the university is good.
