Is LPU good for civil engineering? How are the placements of the same in LPU?

Dear Brijesh Kumar There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions and accreditation down the lane and mark itself amongst the few of the top private universities. Even the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records. So, I would prefer you to choose LPU to pursue your higher studies.

Yes, LPU is undoubtedly a good option to pursue engineering. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. Hello Brijesh, LPU is a good choice based on the feedback received from students who are currently studying Civil Engineering at LPU. Besides, few colleagues of mine who have previously worked in the same Department. So, following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: - 1. Most of the faculty staff is from reputed organizations with their highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty has got previous industrial experience also. 2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills. 3. There is an internship programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase your chance to get employment after you pass out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option. 4. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can see actual construction work going on. Be prepare to have dust on your shoes (believe me, it will be worth a lot). You have to ask questions yourself and trigger interest in the activities around you. 5. You will get some courses from soft skills, English language, mental and on analytical aptitude side. This sounds dull to you as of now. But you will feel its importance when you face an interview panel in a company during your placement drives. 6. They have very good placement records and good infrastructure companies visit their campus, L & T, Simplex Piles Ltd, Era Infrastructure, Gammon India Ltd to name a few. 7. You will be taught career oriented Software like AutoCAD, MS-Project, STAAD Pro, MX Road in labs which are used in various Civil engineering applications. 8. Every theory course is complemented with relevant lab based practical work. Some of the labs are based on field testing where experimental work is to be done, e. g. Soil Lab & Surveying Lab. I did my Engineering from LPU and many of my friends were enrolled in Civil Engineering at LPU, So, I will give you the exact picture of Civil Engineering at LPU. Hi,Which University is better It all depends upon the prospect of university/college that you are looking forward to like the curriculum and study, recruitment and placement rate and campus infrastructure and life. I would say Lovely Professional University is best option to pursue Civil Engineering. My cousin brother has completed same course from LPU. Reviews are pretty good. He told me LPU Provide vital experiential learning opportunity that links classroom learning and student interest with the acquisition of knowledge in an applied work setting like a company, industry, non-profit, governmental, or community-based organisation related to the field of civil engineering. Brijesh, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Tech Mahendra, Cognizant, Air Vistara, Cvent, Antal International Ltd, Dharma Consulting, etc come for recruitment purpose for CE students. I have been in LPU so I can vouch on their practices that they are implementing and I have witnessed their effort for students and management working hard for placement and imparting quality teaching. He told me B.Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. Hi, I won't prefer you to opt for LPU other than for CSE as this is the branch it is known for. For any other thing, you won't be able to find any good thing other than infra. Placements of all the other branches are so worse that if you will see it once, then you won't pursue engineering at all.
