LPU is a place which helps you to bring best out of you and shapes you well for better future. Scholarships, placements, exposure to the industry, efficient & knowledgeable faculty, flexible curriculum and teaching pedagogies, infrastructure, and diverse culture make it unmatchable. The School of Civil Engineering has placed many students in national and international organizations like Al-Rakha, Simplex, Cognizant Soma enterprises, L & T, Gammon, Zamil Infra, Unisys, Tech Mahindra, Xceedance Consulting India Pvt Ltd. etc. To name a few. Many students have joined the government sector. A few have started their own construction companies. The average package offered to the students in corporate sector was Rs 4.5 LPA.

Yes, LPU is good for civil engineering. In LPU, all the faculty members are highly educated. It is providing all the facilities and placements are also good. Many big companies come every year.

Hello! Yes, LPU is the best option for Civil Engineering. There are ample of opportunities for Civil engineering graduates after passing out from LPU. The department has some great tie-ups with leading national companies for placement drives. Major infrastructure companies visit their campus, L & T, Simplex Piles Ltd, Era Infrastructure, Gammon India Ltd to name a few. The starting package can be anything between 45 lacs per annum, depending upon your skills. Apart from that, the six-month internship is an integral part of the B.Tech programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase ones chance to get employment after passing out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option. Apart from this, nowadays the career and job opportunities depend upon a lot on your networking. The key to getting employment depends on your good network with people who are in the industry. So, try to make a network with people from the same domain of yours. It will be a great help to you. Yes, LPU is doing well in that field. Though, there is a lot more to improve in terms of faculty members and practical implementations of the curriculum.

I am saying this because I am alumni of this University, I did MBA but have one friend who has done Civil Eng. From LPU. He told me B.Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. In addition to classroom lectures, students here learn via hands-on experiences which include site visits, lab sessions and so on. PPTs, animations and similar technological techniques are a regular part of classroom teaching too. The course material provided here enables to practice civil engineering using up-to-date techniques, skills, and tools as a result of life-long learning ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. The course benefits the students by giving them an understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities. The Department aims to provide students with a technical foundation incorporated with the industrial need together with the breadth needed in the profession via advanced study or field training, or as a base for other pursuits. In order to get this develop LPU have timely workshops, and seminars. Coming to faculty, they are one of the best mentors to students & everything here is up to the mark. Dear Apoorva, I did MBA from LPU and I had many friends from Civil Engineering, so I have idea course,Placements,Curriculum, etc. One of my friend told that,This programme at LPU include a blend of hands-on experiential learning and theoretical foundational courses. The very best include a mix of traditional learning in laboratories and classrooms with cooperative programs that allow students to gain work experience. Others may include independent research with faculty members another good bet for individuals hoping to go directly into research or the workforce upon graduation. Coming to faculty, they are one of the best mentors to us & everything here is up to the mark. The faculty is supporting if one is willing to learn. They teach the subjects with their full effort. Writing board, screen-projector, labs are used to teach. The college arranges frequent industry visits. New innovative ideas were framed into working models and were showcased to 10000+ school students. The capstone project is an integral part of B. Tech program in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. Yes, but there are some colleges which are better than LPU such as GNE, Thapar, PEC, etc. In LPU, civil engineering labs are not maintained so try for other colleges.

LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international.
