    LPU offers B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly combines concepts from basic Science to technology with appropriate practice through laboratory and projects to develop problem solving skills keeping industry requirements for specialisation in design, manufacturing, heat treatment etc. Eligibility criteria are (qualifying exam) passed with 60% overall 10 2 Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, provided LPU NEST meets the eligibility requirements.     Mechanical engineering is the study, design, development, construction, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. Mechanical engineers work mostly in engineering services, research and development, and manufacturing. Coming to your question, without any comparison.     Your decision making should not be on the basis of placements, packages but on quality of students ( your peer group), faculty, infrastructure, curriculum, and the alumni network. When it comes to choosing the best university for engineering, IIT becomes the first preference but IIT is not just the only option. Few of the other leading options for engineering are :

    As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India.     LPU does provide B.Tech in Mechanical. LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experienced faculty, and provides hands-on experience on the latest technologies. As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India. Highlights of the programme: Credit Transfer, International Exposure Option: Semester Exchange.
