Is LPU good for Mechanical engineering?

LPU offers B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly combines concepts from basic Science to technology with appropriate practice through laboratory and projects to develop problem solving skills keeping industry requirements for specialisation in design, manufacturing, heat treatment etc. Eligibility criteria are (qualifying exam) passed with 60% overall 10 2 Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, provided LPU NEST meets the eligibility requirements. The aim of the course is to enable the student to construct and effectively communicate solutions by learning mechanical engineering, basic Science, mathematics and computer skills and tools. Must be able to design machine components using design theories and create prototypes using appropriate manufacturing techniques. He should acquire the ability to build efficient energy conversion systems using a basic knowledge of Thermodynamics heat transfer and fluid mechanics. He must demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimized solutions using computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing and computer-aided design simulated environments. The highest salary package offered to Mechanical students is 31 LPA and the average salary is 5 LPA. Your decision making should not be on the basis of placements, packages but on quality of students ( your peer group), faculty, infrastructure, curriculum, and the alumni network. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering Physics engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream and they both got placed in Hyundai India Motor Ltd. As far as Mechanical engineering is concerned, I can tell you this course carries extra baggage and it is very fruitful if you choose LPU as a medium. I would like to share their experiences:- A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in students in addition to giving them international exposure. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. Students gets hands on practice in labs and workshops like Advance machine shop, nontraditional and computer aided manufacturing laboratory, Automobile engineering Lab, IC Engine Lab, Mechanical Measurement and Metrology, Strength of Material Lab, Theory Of Machines/Dynamic Of Machines Lab, Thermal/Heat Transfer Lab, finite element methods laboratory, engineering graphics laboratory, object oriented programming laboratory, computer aided design and analysis laboratory, basic simulation laboratory, Propulsion Lab, Aerodynamics Lab, Welding Shop, Pattern Making Shop, Foundry shop, advanced design laboratory and engineering drawing lab. Student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams has participated in various competitions by making there vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle. So far the students have been placed in the companies like Asahi Glass India Ltd. Cognizant Tech Mahindra Anglo Eastern Ship management etc.
