    As in keeping with law, universities do not require approval from AICTE to run its guides. It's the institutes that are affiliated to universities wishes AICTE approval. As LPU is a Bonafide University mounted via way of means of a State Act, it does now no longer require AICTE approval.

    Yes, LPU is first private university of India to receive ICAR accreditation.     Yes, LPU is ICAR approved. B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture.

Moreover, LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval.     LPU is a first private University having ICAR accreditation. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) co-ordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture (government. of India). LPU School of Agriculture has been granted accreditation by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, making it the first and only private University in the country to receive the accreditation.
