Yes, as an LPU alumnus, I can state that LPU was the first private university to receive ICAR, which is a great honour for the LPU family. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) (Hons. ). M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy), and M.Sc. Ag. (Agriculture) are all degrees in agriculture. The National Agricultural Education Board of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, an autonomous agency responsible for organising agricultural education and research in India, has accredited ICAR's Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes. It reports to the Ministry of Agriculture's Department of Agricultural Research and Education. LPU is also accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India and is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the Council of Architecture (COA) (PCI). It's a member of the Association of Indian Universities, as well (AIU). LPU is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) (ACU). Let me give you a quick rundown of the LPU ranks; MHRD, government. LPU is India's the largest private university, according to the NIRF Ranking, and the only private university to host none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 106th Indian Science Congress, which was hosted on the university campus. LPU is ranked 38th among India's best management schools. The overall ranking of top Pharmacy colleges in India is 26th. ScAgriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding) The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Merit in qualifying examination LPU NEST subject to eligibility criteria. Students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. There is also an option to join a partner university abroad for a semester. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Lovely Professional University is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there, every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU are Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms.
