Is LPU offering Sports Scholarship?

As an LPU alumni, I would guide you on it. LPU strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship and Financial Aid Scheme which is an initiative by the University to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Scholarship/ Financial Aid can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. In the last seven years, University has offered Scholarships/ Financial Aid worth 500+ Crores. The fee structure depends on many factors like the programme you want to join, the caliber of the student, the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination and in the entrance tests if applicable. So, applicable fees for the programme depend on the Scholarships if any is applicable. Scholarship will generally be awarded on the basis of previous performance in academics, cultural, sports or other activities or under specific scholarship schemes category for a particular section of students. Financial Aid will be provided to the students belonging to underprivileged students like orphans, persons with disability etc. Or some specific groups like Wards of Defence personnel etc. LPU Scholarship scheme upto Rs. 6 Lac per student Students have been awarded with scholarship worth Rs. 100+ crores in last year only Scholarship Categories: Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories: 1. Scholarship: oEligibility Qualification/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification: The scholarship will also be offered on the basis of Eligibility qualification. For example, on the basis of performance in 10+2 for Undergraduate Programmes and Graduation for Postgraduate Programmes certain National Level Tests (like JEE Main NEET UCEED CAT MAT GATE GPAT etc. ) oLPUNEST: (LPU National Entrance & Scholarship Test) performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards scholarships/ Fee Benefits for Ph.D. scholarship Scheme for Toppers of School Education Boards 2. Financial Aid financial Aid Need Based financial Aid for Serving/ Retired Defence/ CAPF/ Para- Military Personnel and their Dependents financial Aid to Orphans financial Aid to Persons with Certain Disability So, yes LPU does offers Sports Scholarship so refer official website for detailed information on it. Being alumni I must say, Lovely Professional University always believes in all-round development of students so that students would be get emerged with Academically, Mentally & Physically. Lovely Professional University is the HUB of any sports person. LPU do possess Sports clubs in 24 different sports. In LPU, I had many friends who are excellent sports person & get sports scholarships from LPU. Not only in domestic sports event, they had also performed well in International events & make India proud many a times ! LPU nurtures Talent & always do encourage the students in all the fields, whether it's sports or cultural, NSS. NCC. Because of such approach LPU always do offer Sports scholarship to the eligible student. With this scholarship a student may even would be eligible to get 100% scholarship which means, a) Full programme fee waiver b) Free stay with attached washroom c) Free food deluxe diet d) Food supplements Special Benefits: 1) No Prospectus fees 2) Examination fee waiver 3) LPU NEST Fee waiver 4) Free Gym and Indoor Sports facility There are 4 gradations of scholarship categories available. Like A+, A, B, C. According to performance in sports in last 2 years students acquired the scholarship gradation & in turns get the scholarship benefits also based on category of games. In case, any student doesn't possess any excellent performance in last 2 years, they can participate in TABS (Trial & Audition based scholarships) conducted by LPU. Depends upon performance in TABS (based on sports committee decision) also student get the opportunity to earn scholarship gradation. But this Sports scholarship is Non-AUTO recurring in nature.
