Certifications are essential for moving up the career ladder in the IT world, and, as far as networking certifications are concerned, Cisco's are in high demand.     There're two different ways of looking at this. The first is from a personal perspective. Passing the CCNA is not as easy as it once was, or so I've been told. I spent most of my career primarily in the systems space prior to the past couple of years and I'm willing to admit that I found the CCNA a challenge. The breadth of topics covered is substantial and some of the material is fairly dated. You end up having to learn and memorize a tremendous amount of material. I passed comfortably the first time I took it but I put a lot of work in up front to get that result. I'm working on my CCNP now and while it isn't going to be trivial I'm

    Yes, CCNA certification is always in demand and going to be a worthwhile investment. It's a really good certification course. Cisco Certified Network Associate certification helps quick deployment of various technologies related to the networking environment. Basically, CCNA is the based on the basics of networking.
