Dear Aspirant According to the Supreme Court, AICTE approval is required only when the course is being run by an institute. However, LPU is a full-fledged university grants commission (UGC) recognised university, hence AICTE approval is not required.

LPU is a university approved by UGC. It does not need approval from AICTE. As per the NIRF rankings conducted by the ministry of education, LPU is at no 66 amongst all government and private engineering institutions imparting education in engineering. Lately, an LPU student got a salary of Rs 42 Lacs per annum. Its degrees are valid. More than 700 companies from across the country come to the campus to recruit LPU students. These facts should have allayed all your fears. Hope my answer satisfies you.

LPU is the best University to join as it focuses on the overall growth of the students. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements etc. As per my knowledge, Lovely Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. LPU does not require an AICTE approval sinc

My dear friend, AICTE approval is needed by colleges as far as I know. LPU is a UGC recognised university, a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination, and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. To the best of my knowledge, AICTE approval is needed by colleges, and LPU is UGC approved, so does not require AICTE approval. According to the Supreme Court guidelines specified in 2018, an AICTE approval is mandatory for all deemed universities and other institutes which offer courses in technical education. Hi, No, not at all. LPU is already recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India due to which it does not need the approval of AICTE. It has other accreditation also like Association Of Indian Universities (AIU), Council Of Architecture (COA), National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI), Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Bar Council Of India (BCI), The Institution Of Engineers (India), Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI) as well as International Memberships. Hello! Being an alumni of LPU, I would like to bring into your notice that LPU does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as it has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. If you are joining a UGC approved university course, even if it is not approved by AICTE you will not suffer on any of the accounts. Another point is that universities DO NOT require AICTE approval compulsorily, even if they might apply and take approval to add another feather to their cap. Alongside, UGC accreditation, Lovely Professional University has lot of other accreditation in its different programmes offered in the University like:
    1. National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE)
    2. Council Of Architecture (COA)
    3. Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI)
    4. Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR)
