Dear Student, AICTE approval is required by colleges to run the technical programs. As you know LPU is a University and is approved by UGC, so it does not require any approval from AICTE. I hope it helps.

No, not all. Dear student, for your information, firstly I would like to say that the universities must be approved from UGC, approval of AICTE is not mandatory. !
When you will study at LPU which is approved by UGC, then even if your course is not approved by AICTE it will not have any problem, the value would be same. Approval of AICTE is not compulsory for the universities its just some universities try to get this approval unnecessarily for adding feather in their cap. It is the colleges which require compulsory AICTE approval, so if you are directly studying at the university (LPU) you do not need to worry!
    Furthermore, there are so

According to the Supreme Court, AICTE approval is required only when the course is being run by an institute. However, LPU is a full-fledged UGC-recognised university, hence AICTE approval is not required. UGC is an apex body of higher education that administrates the entire higher education body in general but AICTE is a specific body that governs all the institutions that offer technical and managerial courses. LPU is a full-fledged UGC-recognised university, hence AICTE approval is not required.

Hi, LPU does not require AICTE approval. Lovely Professional University is a university in itself and it is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled Bharathidasan University & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. I hope it helps you!

LPU is not approved by AICTE. To the best of my knowledge, a university doesn't need AICTE approval to run any technical programme if already recognised by UGC. Well, Lovely Professional University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India, under section 2 (f) of the UGC ACT 1956. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled Bharathidasan University & ANR.

AICTE means All India Council for Technical Education which is a must for every university offering technical education. I do not know about LPU but I know that Chandigarh University has its technical education approved by AICTE. Since CU is a full-fledged university,   the university itself is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) which is the main accreditation body for universities in India.

Chandigarh University is the number one private university as per QS World University Rankings 2024 and QS Asia University Rankings 2024. Even Chandigarh University’s nine engineering courses are ABET-accredited. I want

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the regulatory body for primary higher education in India. Although LPU may not have AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approval for some programs, it does not necessarily mean that there is a problem with the quality or recognition of the degrees offered by the university. Here are some points that AICTE approval and its implications to note about UGC Recognition:

While AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approval is often seen as important for technical and engineering programs, not all universities require it. UGC (University Grants Commission) approval is a significant accreditation for universities, and LPU, being UGC approved, holds recognition at the national level.

In the case of LPU, the absence of AICTE approval for a specific course doesn't diminish the value of the degree. The university's standards often surpass AICTE requirements, and its UGC approval underscores the legitimacy and quality of education provided. LPU's strong placement records, excellent infrastructure,
