LPU is not AICTE approved. Is there any problem because of this?

Hello Akash, your fear is genuine. I understand after all one must enquire about the university that one has chosen to study at. As far as LPU is concerned you do not have any doubt in your mind, LPU is an independent university. It got recognised by UGC in 2006. Since then the LPU is offering courses and programmes in its own name. It does not need approval from the All India Council for Technical Education. The Supreme Court of India made it clear that it is not mandatory for a university to seek prior approval of (AICTE) however the 'technical institutions' need to seek approval from AICTE t start a new course or department.
