The things you must look into the colleges for admission are:
    1. Is it UGC Approved? (It must be else the degree will not be recognised)
    2. Is it a recognised Deemed university or an affiliated university?
    3. Official placement stats. (This is much different for many colleges as they post fake stats all over and the real stats are usually always worse). Go around the college and ask the final year students regarding the placement stats as they might share more accurate stats then the college admin who usually fake stats (Majority colleges in India fake the stats* - There are always some exceptions like the IITs, BITs, Iims, ISB, IIIT, DA

College rankings are important and success rates of placements cannot be ignored, but they certainly should not be the only factor in your decision making process. Selecting the right college is one of the most important choices you'll ever make, and your decision should be comprehensive: does a school meet your academic, financial, social, and other personal needs? If so, then it could be the right school for you even if it isn't at the top of a college rankings list.
