There are 3 parameters:-
1. Placement records
2. Infrastructure
3. Faculty
The history and records should be checked wisely. All the reviews by students should all be checked and you would be able to select the best college for yourself. Some of the good colleges are: -
Thapar University
IP University
VIT University -
Affiliation and accreditation, years of service and reputation, faculty and alumni profile, infrastructure, laboratory, recreation and placement facilities along with skill up-gradation programmes, attachment to professional societies and so on.

A student before selecting any college should have complete knowledge about that college i.e. about its ranking, placement, the companies that are visiting it along with the other add-ons that one will be getting apart from academics, internship and training programs.

There should be 3 criterion to decide which college to select:
1. Campus recruitment through the college.

3. Extra activities - Seminars, contests, projects.
IITs and other premier institutes are the most reputed as these three criteriums are fulfilled by them.
Although other deciding factors also exist. Like, the institute which is closer to hometown, great and healthy campus environment, competitive spirit etc. -

The selection of the college varies from individual to individual. Some are very concerned about the cost.
If a person is focused on good career growth, the following points are to be noted which is organized from high to low preference:
1. The ranking of the college or reputation of the college.
2. The placement record.
3. Infrastructure.
4. Good faculty.
5. Good alumni network.
6. Cost.
If the quality of the college is high, the cost to study in that college would be high. You should never select the colleges based on low cost. -
