Detailed Solution:

$I = \frac{m}{4} \times \frac{a^{2}}{3} \times 2 + \frac{m}{4} \times (\frac{a^{2}}{12} + {(\frac{a}{2})}^{2} + a^{2}) \times 2$

$= \frac{m a^{2}}{6} + \frac{2}{3} m a^{2} = \frac{m a^{2} + 4 m a^{2}}{6} = \frac{5 m a^{2}}{6}$
