For admission to the above programs in a related subject in the faculty, applicants fulfilling the following criteria shall be treated as eligible:
1. PhD- Persons having passed Post Graduate Degree (Masters Degree) Examination with at least 50% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).
2. U.G.C NET- Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree OR equivalent examination.
3. C.S.I.R NET- Masters or equivalent degree under a particular subject with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates.
4. To be a lecturer, you need to clear UGC NET.
In all the exams discussed, it is essential that the degree is from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC. IGNOU is a recognized university so you may go ahead.
