Piercing the corporate veil or lifting the corporate veil is a legal decision to treat the rights or duties of a corporation as the rights or liabilities of its shareholders. Usually a corporation is treated as a separate legal person, which is solely responsible for the debts it incurs and the sole beneficiary of the credit it is owed. Common law countries usually uphold this principle of separate personhood, but in exceptional situations may "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil.
A simple example would be where a businessman has left his job as a director and has signed a contract to not compete with the company he has just left for a period of time. If he set up a company which competed with his former company, technically it would be the company and not the person competing. But it is likely a court would say that the new company was just a "sham", a "fraud" or some other phrase,[1] and would still allow the old company to sue the man for breach of contract. A court would look beyond the legal fiction to the reality of the situation.

The territorial jurisdiction for offering programs through distance mode will be as per the decision taken in the 35th Meeting of the Distance Education Council. In its 35th meeting the Council noted that distance education and online education cannot have the Territorial Jurisdiction.
In case of Central Universities and the State Universities, the Territorial Jurisdiction will be as per their Acts and Statutes for offering programs through distance mode.
The Territorial Jurisdiction in case of Deemed Universities will be as per UGC, which mandates the prior approval of the UGC for opening Centers / off Campus Centers outside the Headquarters.
The Territorial Jurisdiction in case of Private Institutions (other than Universities) will be as decided by the Joint Committee, which has decided that the territorial jurisdiction for the institutions (both private as well as Govt funded) shall be the Headquarters, and in no case outside the State.

Java is a OOP language and it is not a pure Object Based Programming Language.
Many languages are Object Oriented. There are seven qualities to be satisfied for a programming language to be pure Object Oriented. They are:
Encapsulation/Data HidingInheritancePolymorphismAbstractionAll predefined types are objectsAll operations are performed by sending messages to objectsAll user defined types are objects.
Java is not because it supports Primitive datatype such as int, byte, long. etc, to be used, which are not objects.
Contrast with a pure OOP language like Smalltalk, where there are no primitive types, and boolean, int and methods are all objects.
