Executive MBA is only for experienced professionals. The basic criteria for joining any executive MBA program is work experience. So yes you need work experience to join the course. In IIMs preferably you should have at least 2-5+ years of minimum work experience.

If you can specify the particular country, I would be able to assist you better. Admission requirements, program availability differs country wise. You should ideally look for graduate diploma or MS courses in:
1. Food Technology.
2. Food Science.
3. Food Science and Human Nutrition.
4. Food Manufacturing and Technology and so on.
Australia also have higher number of options in this field compared to other countries. Decide where you want to study.
