Firstly, no university will admit you if you say your sole aim is to get a PR on their face. So right now, check admission requirements and focus on your application. You will get PR if you get a job and hence, working hard on your academics should be the priority. For pharmacy, I will suggest Canada and even Australia. Switzerland too has a major industry with most pharmaceutical companies there but for post study work options and PR schemes, you can consider Canada and Australia.

Yes, almost every state offers lateral entry in 2nd year of engineering for those, who have done Diploma. You will have to appear for entrance exam conducted for this purpose.
