Public sector banks recruit candidates at 2 levels- the officer level and the clerical level. After XII (Commerce or any subject) Graduation followed by banking examination for Probationary officers can be taken.
Engineers, agricultural scientists, home economists, chemists, lawyers, language specialists can enter banking through the special category intake.

You should stick by your domain in order to have an added advantage in the competitive market. At the same time, it is very important that you opt for or look at doing something that you are good at and would enjoy keeping in mind your personality, aptitude, ability, strengths and career goals.
If at all, you want to switch over, go ahead and pursue a career in Advertising & PR which is mostly relationship-building exercises that are practiced mainly for corporate brand advertising or promotion of products or building relationships with customers with high quality, premium organizations
