Hello Jaya,
Aeronautical engineering is the science involved with the study, design, and manufacture of flight-capable machines, or the techniques of operating aircraft. Now coming to the scope for aeronautical engineering in the country, I won't bluff but it's pretty less. It's tough to secure a job post your Bachelors.
Of course, there are a few government companies such as DRDO, HAL, and NAL but most of them require recommendations to get in or may have their own entrance exams especially in the case of IIST to later on join ISRO. Companies like L&T, airbus, being also hire aeronautical engineers.

Admission to IIMs is via a common entrance examination called CAT. After clearing the entrance examination, based on your score, past academics and relevant work experience IIMs shortlist students for written ability test & PI where they will gauge your interest for pursuing MBA. After clearing the same, one gets admission to any of the IIMs.
Good luck!

No, it is not. They are just alarming you to study. Board exams don't depend on any previous exam and even if you fail in half yearly or pre-board they can't do anything.

Hello Mihika,
It totally depends on your school as many schools in India don't consider your performance in 12th half yearly examinations and they easily give you admit card for your boards, so I will recommend you to talk to the school management as soon as possible.
