If you can afford doing MS from some reputed university outside India then go for it. In context of M.Tech in India, the main job opportunity if you are looking in private sector then M.Tech degree doesn't help much unless you are from structural engineering background. M.Tech from other specializations have a brighter future prospect in the field of research work or in the field of teaching.

Hi Chetan,
As far as my knowledge most people with engineering background go for IT management or operations. But I think it all depends on your interest. Like if you have inclination towards numbers and stuff like that finance is a good option or if you think you have very good communication skills and you talk to people and grab attention then marketing or HR can be the options.

Hello,
IIT JAM Exam is tough to crack and that too for a general category candidate. So, you must prepare well for it. The best way to prepare is solving previous year question papers. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. From here http://bit.ly/2HO2qeT you can download IIT JAM Question Papers. Also, take online mock tests. This will help you analyze your preparation level and also increase your speed and accuracy. You must study at least 6-7 hours and give your last 30-45 minds to the revision daily. Best of Luck.
