Photography in India or globally is done by almost everyone as the cameras have become very advanced and if you hv the knack for it, you can declare yourself a professional.
But the truth is professional photography for fashion, journalism, wildlife, outdoors or digital media each need some background knowledge for the areas. With your B.tech degree you hv an advantage of innovating in techniques and printing but to taste the water in this field, if you hv resources, go for a professional diploma course first and also you may design your website to showcase your talent initially and make a mark for yourself in the field.

Placements: BVIMR - New Delhi has always been famous for its placement opportunities for postgraduate students. On average up to 5 students each year get placements from the college itself with an average annual package of 4.5 Lacs. As of now, I am in my final year, therefore, do not have the first-hand experience of the placement procedures. But have found out that big companies like Amazon and Idea have visited the college to find their future employees.
Infrastructure: The college has all modern amenities required for the current educational system. The college has a medium to big classes. The classrooms have modern facilities like computer, speakers, projectors, security camera and many more. It has a big playground. There are many small snacks and beverages shops as well as a big canteen in the space close to the ground. It has a big spacious hall and library and 2 computer labs each on every floor.
Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable. They have a practical approach to their teaching techniques. As most teachers are or were previously working in business firms they have acquired a great understanding of the organisational setup of most businesses. They have years of experience and are proficient in more than 2 languages.

Please first understand which degrees are offered in Animation. B.Sc. Animation & VFX is a 3-years duration course. Bachelor of Design (B. Des. ). Course in Animation is a 4-years duration course. The four years course includes 2d, 3d, VFX, etc. The difference between the two degrees is that the B. Des. Course is not only 1 year more but offers usually an international syllabus, which is completely focused on Animation only. Few of the top colleges are Artemisia College of Art & Design (Govt. University), MIT, Pune, NID, Ahmedabad (the top in the country), DSK, Pune, etc. While selecting college, consider factors such as the fee, whether the faculty has animation industry experience or not, whether the college has facilities such as its own animation production studio, whether the college teaches classical animation (base of all kind of animation) or not, etc. Availability of equipments such as Light boxes, etc. should be there. Do your own research by calling various colleges or email them. Do not go for training institutes or certificate and diploma courses as they teach superficially. Look for colleges, preferably affiliated to the government universities. Usually they are cheaper and more authentic.
