A certified financial planner (CFP) refers to the certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
Scope:
You can get various jobs. Some prefer a job as a "Relationship Manager" with a marketing touch involved. Some get a job strictly as a "Financial Planner" who acts as a support staff for the marketing team. There are some who have ventured into mass media (esp. journalism) and there are some who have started their own practice. So Pratik, there is no dearth of opportunities for CFPs. You may pursue MBA as well, MBA & CFP gel well together.

There are plenty of professional courses available for you to choose from.
For commerce students, one of the easiest things to do is go for B.Com then M.Com and then maybe Ph.D or professor.
There's also an option to go for CA, CS, CMA and at times LLB.
You also have the option of lesser known courses like FRM, CFA, actuary among others. You can also go for various certification courses conducted by many institutions across the country.
If you want to go for MBA, you have the option of appearing in CAT.
You can also go for government jobs and jobs in banking sector.
You also can go for your passion and turn it into your profession.
It all depends on what path you want to take.

I think your group includes commerce, accountancy, computer science and economics.
If so, then you can study B.Sc computer science. As it is a very promising course, you can easily get a job.
Then, you can do BCA and MCA. These are only applicable if you have taken computer science in that group.
The best one for commerce group is to do CA. It is really tough to get through.
The next is to pursue B.Com and after that, MBA (if you want you can do M.Com also). Since, you will have an MBA degree with B.Com, you can be a consultant in an IT firm or if you choose human resources (HR), you can be a HR manager too.
If you want to be an economist, then you can do BA and MA economics but I think these days, they are not promising to get a job.
