Traditionally, nursing has been a women oriented profession. Though the number of male nurses is increasing. Outside of India the number of male nurses is much higher. TU's cut-offs for different engineering courses mainly depends on the number of applicants and the available number of seats for each year.
The minimum cut-off for admissions is dependent on the JEE Mains cut-off.
Keep in mind that the admission criteria will be purely based on your JEE Mains score and not the rank.

The JEE main paper 2 scores are accepted by 9 NIT's, 5 SFTI's (Self-Financed Technical Institutes) and Chandigarh College of Architecture. Some of the popular colleges in Maharastra accepting the JEE score are:

You have got a good rank so that you can get some courses in main campus of SRM University.
You can get automobile, nanotechnology, biotechnology, biomedical, Computer Science engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering.
You cannot get mechanical, mechatronics or software engineering.

Hello William,
As far as fees are concerned, basic fees are similar in both these courses. However, placements are far more superior in marine than in aeronautical engineering. I would like to advise you join marine engineering for better placements.
