No, this college's intake is only through merit basis over JEE & SAT. This college has brightest minds of India, so you need to qualify JEE Mains. Else, you need to score above 2000/2400 in SAT. As you said I think, you did not qualify for JEE Mains, then you are not eligible to get admission in this college through management quota.

Let me clear that AICTE Stands for All India Council For Technical Education whose primary objectives are to PROMOTE, PLAN, COORDINATE, REGULATE & MAINTAIN quality of the Technical Education in INDIA. Secondly AICTE approval is required by the colleges/institutions in India to run Technical courses. Since LPU is a UNIVERSITY and is recognised by the UGC (approval proof present on their official website), the AICTE approval is not required to run any of the technical courses in the University.

Have a close look at the headings which are mention there like abstract (most important for learner), the area of research and literature work, etc. You can work on Filters (DSP), Antenna, in communication (noise reduction), efficiency improvement of the receiver.
